BIOWRAPS EXPANDS STRATEGIC JOINT VENTURE COOPERATION IN JAPAN: A NEW MILESTONE IN BRINGING VIETNAMESE GREEN MATERIALS TO THE WORLD
BioWraps strengthens its international expansion strategy through Vietnam–Japan innovation partnerships, advancing opportunities for the production and commercialization of sustainable biomaterials and eco-friendly packaging in Japan.

From September 25 to 30, 2026, BioWraps was honored to join the Vietnamese delegation organized by the United Nations Development Programme in Vietnam (UNDP Vietnam) and the National Innovation Center (NIC) for a series of startup and innovation engagement activities in Japan.
More than a business mission, this visit marked an important milestone in BioWraps’ internationalization journey, opening new opportunities for cross-border collaboration, technology development, and market expansion.

Building Strategic Partnerships with Japanese Companies
During the program in Japan, BioWraps connected with Japanese partners Pit-A-Pat and Redgi, establishing a foundation for further cooperation toward joint venture opportunities in the production and commercialization of biomaterials and sustainable packaging solutions.
These engagements reflect BioWraps’ commitment to building long-term international partnerships that combine Vietnam’s agricultural resources and biomaterial innovation capabilities with Japan’s industrial expertise, manufacturing capabilities, and market opportunities.
Japan represents not only a new market for BioWraps but also a strategic partner in the company’s long-term vision of developing scalable and commercially viable green material solutions.
Four Strategic Priorities for Vietnam–Japan Cooperation
Through collaboration with Japanese partners, BioWraps aims to advance four key priorities:
Local production development: Explore opportunities to manufacture biomaterials and sustainable packaging in Japan to better serve local market needs.
Commercialization and distribution: Expand sales channels and distribution networks for BioWraps products in Japan and other international markets.
Technology and R&D collaboration: Connect research and development capabilities, technical expertise, and manufacturing resources between Vietnam and Japan.
Circular value chain development: Build an integrated value chain that transforms agricultural by-products into biomaterials, sustainable products, and new international market opportunities.
These priorities support BioWraps’ broader ambition to develop a scalable biomaterials platform that connects agricultural resource recovery with industrial applications and global market demand.

Strengthening Vietnam–Japan Innovation and Climate Cooperation
The activities took place within a broader framework of Vietnam–Japan startup and innovation cooperation, with engagement and connections involving Japanese stakeholders, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and UNDP Japan.
This institutional and ecosystem support provides an important foundation for further collaboration in innovation, green growth, and the circular economy.
For BioWraps, international cooperation is essential to translating sustainable material innovations into commercially viable solutions. By building partnerships across borders, the company aims to accelerate technology development, strengthen manufacturing capabilities, and expand access to international markets.
Turning Vietnam’s Agricultural By-Products into Global Value
BioWraps believes that agricultural by-products should not be viewed merely as waste. They represent an underutilized resource with the potential to become the foundation for new materials, innovative products, and sustainable business opportunities.
By transforming fruit peels and other agricultural by-products into biomaterial applications, BioWraps is working to create new value from local resources while contributing to resource efficiency and circular production models.
The company is progressively developing a cross-border vision that connects Vietnam, Japan, ASEAN, and global markets through biomaterial innovation, sustainable packaging, and strategic industrial partnerships.
This approach reflects a fundamental belief: Vietnamese innovation can create global value when local resources, scientific research, industrial capabilities, and international market opportunities are effectively connected.

A New Chapter in BioWraps’ International Journey
BioWraps sincerely thanks UNDP Vietnam, the National Innovation Center (NIC), the Government of Japan, and its Japanese partners for their support and for creating opportunities for Vietnamese innovative enterprises to explore international markets and develop cross-border partnerships.
The cooperation established during this mission represents an important step toward BioWraps’ long-term ambition of expanding sustainable biomaterial solutions beyond Vietnam.
From Vietnam’s agricultural by-products to new global value, BioWraps remains committed to advancing climate innovation, strengthening the circular economy, and bringing Vietnamese green material solutions to the world.
The journey in Japan has begun—and this is only the first step.
